Parents/Guardians Needed Support
SR1 CPSA supports the believe that Parents/guardians are the first teachers in their child’s life and know their child better than anyone else. Three strong leading Parents/Guardian actions:

Academic achievement increases when parents are involved in their children's education. The more intensively involved the parents/guardians are, the greater the positive impact on academic achievement.

Parental involvement leads to better classroom behavior. Parental involvement not only enhances academic performance, but it also has a positive influence on student attitude and behavior. A parent's interest and encouragement in a child's education can affect the child's attitude toward school, classroom conduct, self-esteem, absenteeism, and motivation.

SR1 CPSA will encourage parental involvement in many ways. SR1 CPSA will seek significant parental/guardian involvement and will offer training programs to teach parents how to get involved in their children's education.
Safety First
SR1 policies towards covid will change as CDC guidelines change. CDC guidance for K–12 schools changes because what they know about COVID-19 continues to change. This means SR1 CPSA guidance is updated as CDC learns more about what works best to reduce the risk of getting or spreading COVID-19.
Uniforms
SR1 CPSA strives to eliminate the self-consciousness and social competition which popular fashion trends tend to promote. Additionally, School uniforms are an important facet of our school culture and an integral part of our mission and purpose. A distinctive uniform will be a unifying factor within our school community and underscores the Academy’s seriousness of purpose by encouraging students to think of their attire as a connection to their goals. In addition, neatness and modesty are important aspects of the Charter school environment. The SR1 CPSA is a college preparatory school, and we want our students to distinguish themselves by their academic performance, their citizenship, their behavior, and their attitude and effort on a day-to-day basis.
